The Urban Camp is a woman-led startup that is registered, licensed, and incorporated in Vancouver, BC.
We offer Technology, Entrepreneurship, Wellness, and Adventure camps, and programs that include exciting entrepreneurship projects, wellness and mindfulness workshops primarily for the younger generation.
We opened our doors just before the pandemic, and since then, we have educated youth from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, The USA and Canada! Despite the two years of operating online due to the pandemic, we continued to stay strong and focused as we are committed to preparing the younger generation for the NOW and the FUTURE.
We bravely opened our first in-person camp in April 2022, and we continued to operate camps in 2023 and are ready for 2024. We are growing!
At The Urban Camp, we welcome students between 10 and 17 years old. Our camps run for two to three weeks at a time, and the curriculum includes Technology and English Immersive as the core programs. We provide entrepreneurship, leadership, wellness and mindfulness workshops, sustainability education, and tours around the city. All our programs include visits to Vancouver’s iconic sights and the well-kept hidden gems in the city and its surroundings. We have full-day trips to Whistler and Bowen Island and multiple nights in Whistler for our Adventure Camp during the summer, winter and Easter programs. Our students experience top destinations in British Columbia, Vancouver and Whistler!
The Urban Camp operates as a fun-filled multi-day event, adopting a concept of Live Like a Local in Vancouver that certainly includes taking lessons in labs, the most fantastic buildings and venues around the city; we use public transit, support local businesses and vendors, and we practice healthier habits by working on body, mind and introduce healthy snacks into the program. We support social equality, diversity, inclusiveness, the environment and animal welfare and wish to instill these values in our learners.
The Urban Camp makes a meaningful difference in the lives of its students. We not only prepare them to be ready and relevant for the “Now” and the “Future,” but we also want them to become good, healthy, responsible citizens.
Thank you for your support,
